Xe Om

Xe om or Hon Da om ( south ) is the most popular means of transportation in Vietnam. Xe om means 'Bike Hug'. Passengers will boarding on the back of driver. In every streets of Vietnam, you will find them with the sights of XE OM in front of the bikes or you can easily find them in the cross of streets. Became so popular after the economic 'boom' in early 1990, bike cycle replaced to motorbike, Xe Om is the most convenient way to get around the city at very reasonable price. Taking Xe Om for a ride is an challenge, you will really join on local traffic that may not be like your home. Make sure you have a good negotiation before boarding. Price will be roughly about 2.000 VND per km.
