Hang Dau Go is one of the most beautiful caves at Ha Long Bay. The cave is located on a limestone islet 187 m above sea level. You would have to hike the 90 rocky steps to head to the cave’s entrance. There are three chambers with the outer one having the most spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. Locals claim that these giant formations are the guardians of Dau Go cave. The middle chamber is accessible through a narrow passage and there is a round crytal like structure on the path. The inner chamber is much smaller and all its wells are filled with fresh water year round. This is the most famous and also the most beautiful of all grottoes in Ha Long Bay.
